Comentario:	* IMELDA (Imelda Cota) * February 11, 2008 at 12:04pm Prome Juan Gutiérrez Llegamos un tarde porque se nos hizo tarde en Aeromexico, el Ingeniero Juan fue muy amable me enseño su proceso, ellos realizan pequeños motores para levantar parabrisas de camiones, tiene un Baker AST8800 con el cual realizan las pruebas a sus motores, adicional a este equipo tienen un Magtrol con un dinamómetro que lo saben utilizar a medias y hablaron con Magtrol pero no quisieron darles ayuda para usarlo como debe ser, el equipo que tiene es el siguiente: Magtrol DSP 6001 Dynamometer Controler 2TB65 50N/m. Prome es una compañía pequeña y no cuenta con muchos equipos de prueba y su nivel de producción no es muy alto, tiene pocos empleados y sus instalaciones no son muy grandes. * IMELDA (Imelda Cota) * January 25, 2008 at 3:59pm Buenas tardes Señorita Cota: Nuestra dirección completa es Prome, S.A. de C.V. All of their customers are Mexican bus manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers. They are a very small company with about 30 employees and less than US$3M in sales. They produce about 20K wiper assemblies per year. The motors in these assemblies are DC with a 10 bar armature and a permanent magnet field. They only have three models, but, all models have the same commutator and same stack and shaft diameters. The stack length and/or shaft length varies. They have test equipment for the magnets and they have a Magtrol dyne. They have a lot of motors which produce low torque. They know the problem is in the armatures, but, do no armature testing now prior to final assembly. So they need an armature tester. We quoted them an AST/ESATS a few weeks ago at about $40K. I priced it lower than standard domestic pricing because I was worried about bids from Fisher and Slaughter which have been below $40K. They only got competing quotes from ESW and a Taiwanese company called Wado so far. ESW gave two quotes. One was for a high end WinAST/ESATS like tester at $50K. The other was for a low end old technology tester at about $30K. The Wado tester was similar to ESWs low end tester, but, was only $16K. Prome says they like the Baker proposal best. We had technology similar to ESWs high end tester, but, at a lower price. They want to come to Colorado for the run off and training rather than have someone form Baker go there. Vacation time! The issue will be money. But, business has been good lately and they probably will buy a tester within the next few months.
